Lieutenant Wasser joined the Sheriff’s Office on March 17, 2008, as a Correctional Officer and worked at the Jail Core and Honor Farm Facilities until 2014. Wasser joined the Custody Emergency Response Team in 2009. Wasser became a Custody Training Officer in January of 2014 and joined the Professional Standards Division in December of 2014 to train the Correctional Academy’s. Three years later Wasser was promoted to Sergeant and CERT Team leader and worked the Jail Core, South Jail and Honor Farm facilities.
In March of 2021 he was promoted to Lieutenant, overseeing the South Jail, Jail Core, Transportation and served as the Commander of the Custody Emergency Response Team. In 2024 he became the Watch Commander and continues to oversee Classification and the Custody Emergency Response Team.
Wasser also served our county as a Rifleman in the United States Marine Corps from 1999-2003 fighting in both Afghanistan and Iraq.
