About Tip 411
The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office has partnered with Tip411, a texting service and web-based platform, to give citizen’s the opportunity to anonymously submit a crime tip.
When you submit a tip, it is sent to a 3rd party tip service, which acts as a privacy buffer between you and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office in order to protect your identity and your contact information. If you have a tip, please use this service to help provide crucial information on crimes, criminals, or those engaging in criminal activity which will help us continue to keep this county safe.
Please note, this does not substitute for calling 911 in case of an emergency. If it is an emergency, please contact 911 immediately.

Text A Tip
To send an anonymous tip via text message to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, text the word “SJSOTIP” along your tip to 847411. It’s important to include the keyword prior to your message.
