Memorial Day water safety is one of our top priorities this weekend and always. Please boat responsibly and have a designated driver. Our Boating Safety Unit is out in full force. For our safety and of those vessels we are assisting, once you see our blue lights flashing immediately slow for a no wake zone. 🚨
As we enter Memorial weekend and celebrate Memorial Day, let us not forget the reason, and honor those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
One we we are honoring those courageous men and women is with a “Missing Man Table”.
Each item on the Missing Man Table represents the emotions and feelings reserved for those who did not come home. The ceremony symbolizes that they are with us, here in spirit. All Americans should never forget the brave men and women who answered our nation’s call to serve and fought for our freedom with honor.
The symbolism of the Missing Man Table: The table is round, to show our everlasting concern for our missing men.
The cloth is white, symbolizing the purity of their motives when answering the call to serve.
The single red rose; displayed in a vase, reminds us of the lives of these Americans and their loved ones and friends who keep the faith while seeking answers.
The red ribbon symbolizes our continued determination to account for our missing.
A slice of lemon reminds us of their bitter fate; captured and missing in a foreign land.
A pinch of salt symbolizes the tears of our missing and their families who long for answers after decades of uncertainty.
The lighted candle reflects our hope for their return, alive or dead.
The Bible represents the strength gained through faith to sustain us and those lost from our country, founded as one nation under God.
The glass is inverted, symbolizing their inability to share a toast.
The chair is empty, the seat that remains unclaimed at the table.

Follow up to video:
Our team has spent countless hours photographing the items, searching for victims with the hopes of returning the stolen items to their rightful owners. Many victims were visitors/travelers to the bay area. We have contacted many as far as Brooklyn, New York, and multiple locations on the East Coast and across the country. We have contacted no less than 140 victims and hope to reach more. To date, of every single person we have contacted, not one person has claimed ever to have sold or pawned anything at the Oromax pawn shop, confirming all were victims of theft. We recognize how valuable, not just in monetary but in memory, these items are – some containing videos and images of loved ones who have since passed away and gifts from family that hold sentimental value.
Unfortunately, some items do not contain serial numbers and/or have been wiped clean of any identification. We are posting a Dropbox link (In our bio) that contains images of the seized items with the hopes that victims can search for what is believed to be theirs. If you were a victim of a burglary in the bay area and surrounding area, we encourage you to search through these images. Please share with the hopes of this reaching further victims. If you see an item that you believe to belong to you that can be verified via a serial number or specific marking (a known scratch, etch, personalized stickers, etc.) that you can identify, please contact our office: AGNET 209.468.4424
The Sheriff and all at the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office want this message to be clear, we will not allow this crime to continue in our county, and we will do all we can to protect our citizens.
