Sheriff Withrow was elected Sheriff on June 5th, 2018, and was sworn into office on January 7th, 2019. This is Sheriff Withrow’s first term as Sheriff, but it is his 29th year with the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure, he has worked in almost every division of the department, including five years with S.W.A.T. and 12 years with the Canine Unit and Lathrop Police Services.
