With a deep passion for non-profit community work, Jennifer Edwards joined the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office in the summer of 2016, serving as the Assistant Coordinator over the Crime Prevention Programs including the STARS and Explorers.
She brought with her over 15 years of retail bank management, operations, and marketing experience which has benefited both the volunteer programs and the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Foundation as a whole. In 2019, Jennifer was promoted to the role of Crime Prevention Coordinator and swiftly set out to expand new and varied ways to increase the relationship between the SJC Sheriff’s Office and the SJC Sheriff’s Foundation in order to bolster further training and growth of various departments and Field Force units.
She currently serves as an Officer on the Foundation Board of Directors in the capacity of Secretary, and actively participates in the on-going fund development to enable the Foundation to meet its mission of serving the Sheriff, his Office, and the community.
Jennifer grew up in Orange County, California, was an outstanding high school athlete excelling in several sports, and attended Biola University and Sacramento State University where she carried a major in Business Marketing and a minor in English Technical Writing. She is married and has three grown daughters. Jennifer enjoys competitive shooting and horseback riding with her family.
