Captain Jose Aleman began his law enforcement career with the Sheriff’s Office in 2002, and he currently oversees all operations in the Field Forces Division. 

Throughout his career, he has served the community as a patrol deputy in the county’s unincorporated areas, Lathrop Police Services, motorcycle traffic enforcement officer, M.A.I.T. team investigations, Boating Safety, and more. 

Captain Aleman previously held positions as a Boating Safety Sergeant, Administrative Lieutenant of Patrol, and the county’s Law Enforcement Mutual Aid Coordinator and Search and Rescue Coordinator.  Additionally, he is a California State Sheriff’s Association Boating and Watercraft Safety Committee member.

Captain Aleman and his team strive for excellence and professionalism in their service to the citizens of San Joaquin County.
