Rita joined the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office as a Public Information Officer in January of 2023. Rita’s experiences lie in graphic design, branding, and marketing, and her expertise extends to creating logos, business cards, brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and so much more.

A proud alumna of Stanislaus State University, Rita holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications Studies with a concentration in public relations. Born in Egypt, Rita takes immense pride in her cultural heritage but is equally proud to consider herself “made in America.”

Rita is a creative problem solver who is not only passionate about the cohesiveness of the San Joaquin Sheriff’s Office brand, but also about streamlining information from our sheriff’s office to maintain fluid communication between personnel and the community.

Rita’s primary tasks as Public Information Officer for SJSO are branding, graphic design, and assisting with photography, videography, and social media.
